I'm 73 and always liked this song. I'd never heard of Disturbed but when I heard this guy's unbelievable version of it - I was hooked! What a powerful performance!

I'm a 75 year old female, so Simon & Garfield & their music are very familiar to me. BUT this version of 'Sound of Silence' absolutely stunned me. I cannot even begin to articulate what I felt. It overwhelmed me. I could only weep. It still affects me in that way. So very powerful 👏

What's sad is this song didn't win a Grammy. It was nominated for best live performance. Still one of the greatest covers ever made.

The best cover song ever ! Haunting, emotional, powerful … better than the original. Probably because of David’s vocal depth

I’m sixty years old. Have always loved this song. This young mans version brought back memories to my heart. Made this grown man cry like a baby. God bless you and your band mates. Rock on !

I was a teenager when this record was released and I've always loved Simon & Garfunkel ... BUT ... I'm now 70, and this has to be the most powerful, best cover version of ANY record I've ever heard ... My total respect to 'Disturbed', and it's been an honour to have heard it (for the first time) performed live.

His voice is so haunting in the beginning with the piano, I was hooked immediately, by the end I was in tears. NEVER had a song affect me in this way. Very good job. Disturbed did the song justice.

From a Brit military veteran who had suffered PTSD.... YOUR version of this song made ME travel through and finally accept my situation and finally get the help I needed!
TYVM to Disturbed and Draiman *from a hardcore AC/DC 70's child*

Are you kidding me right now, ?! This was the best rendition that could have possibly been sung. And the voice of this man... perfection!!

As comment from M&C, I am also 73. Simon & Garfunkel were so influential in the 1960's in awakening the public to stand up and protest the Vietnam War. Many young men from my graduating class went off to war and never came back. It was a heart-wrenching decade. Simon & Garfunkel's version of this song was soft and respectful of the importance and meaning within the song. I didn't think anyone could top their original rendition of the genius lyrics. David Draiman's rendition brings out all the anger and rage that was felt by the younger generation over that horrible war. All the young men who died and never got to fulfil their life's dreams is what brings back the rage and the tears while listening to David Draiman's beautiful voice. It's absolutely beautiful in its perfection.

I'm a senior citizen and I think Draiman's version of Sound of Silence is better than the original. And that's saying a lot, because I wore out my album playing this song. Kudos to the band for an excellent rendition of a beloved classic.
