Hi I'm a defensive mid and whenever I play I like to play fast on the break say from a tackle or interception but once I've played a long ball or just a short one out to the wing and my team tend to lose the ball quite fast after that so if I push forward I end up sprinting back to support the defence but if I hang back the forwards tell me off because I'm not there for passing support what can I do to balance pushing forward and hanging back? love your vids by the way

I'm not sure what position I would be the best at. I play defense pretty well but not much of an offense

To me the most critical position on the field of play though underrated..Besides being able to play the ball quickly, he must make sure not to lose any possession because any mistake there can lead to punishment...Also he must try by all means when in possession to limit square passes across the defense as those are also prone to interception..A CDM must maintain the shape of the team...
