To hit a long pass in soccer effectively, follow these steps:

1. Body Positioning: Approach the ball at an angle with your non-kicking foot placed beside it and pointing towards your target. Lean slightly back to prepare for the kicking motion.

2. Foot Placement: Strike the center-bottom part of the ball with the laces or instep of your foot. Ensure a clean contact to generate power and accuracy.

3. Follow-through: After striking the ball, extend your kicking leg fully towards the target. Maintain balance throughout the kicking motion for accuracy and power.

4. Backspin Technique: Angle your foot slightly downward to strike the bottom half of the ball. Apply enough force to create backspin while maintaining accuracy.

5. Weight Transfer: Transfer your weight onto your non-kicking foot before striking the ball, then shift your weight forward as you follow through. Proper weight transfer helps generate power and control.

6. Consistent Practice: Practice regularly to develop consistency in executing long passes.

I use the 2nd form to score goals from far, and i use my shin to score from midfield . The midfield comes from catching the ball in the air and shoot with power . You can achieve this with practice in my case Karate helps alot with leg movement accurately catching balls in mid air .

But in ping / long pass we can use the inside part of the foot also but the main thing we have to lean back and slice it under the lower part of the football( both techniques are good but upper instep part technique will make your feet feel pain if you are not a regular user of it)❤.
