Actually the reason for manditory tint limits on the front side windows is for safety especially at night if the tint is too dark it is to easy to not see a pedestrian or dimly lit vechle approaching an intersection.😮

All my cars are tinted I love it but I keep the windshield clear. It's legal where I live. You can actually see better at night because your not blinded by everyones bright headlights.

When I owned a tint shop in WA 😅State I tinted all the highway patrol illegal tint😂
Especially the unmarked cruisers😂
They didn't want to be recognized.

Tip: ALWAYS roll down all your windows fully when being pulled over, and put your keys on the dashboard. It tends to make the conversation a lot less tense and shows some respect. It wont always get you out of a ticket, but it helps.

In most states if you keep it 20 or above, even if its technically below the legal limit, no cop will bother screwing you over for it, but depending on the severity of what other issues you're being pulled over for, any cop is capable of using any level of tint violation against you, and the darker you go, the higher chance of this. Ride below 20, and sadly you do risk a cop one day deciding to ruin yours.

That’s only in certain states. If you do most of your driving outside of the state you reside in you’re not going to get any tickets 😂. Tints are actually very beneficial for keeping your car cool and your belongings out of preying criminal eyes

in michigan there are no restrictions on window tint on the front doors. if you are walking or on a
bicycle you cannot see if the driver sees you.

Most states and other countries have laws for tint like which windows are not allowed to be tinted and how much VLT is authorized for the other ones. I'm not a fan of the "fishbowl" feel with no tint at all. 😂

What we need is a built-in automatic tint level selector with a knob, buttons, slider, and/or voice activated. Whether car companies do that or not, we shouldn’t have to wait for that to be made affordable and standard on every car. We need aftermarket companies to make them as well, and a way to integrate with the car system and even integrating with other aftermarket infotainment systems as well.

While I'm not the biggest fan of the government i do agree there needs to be tint laws dudes driving with 5% all around where even the sun hits the car you cant see through it how the heck they see ? Plus it's not safe i had 15 for driver & passenger & at times it was hard to see so i went 35 ceramic

I've had 5% window tint on my cars before and been around plenty of police. They've never given me any trouble about it.

I hate window tint on any of the front windows! It's extremely unsafe, not for you but for others! As a pedestrian or another driver, I like to be able to make eye contact with the other driver so that I know that they are aware of me.
