Man hope you take this as a constructive feedback but it's a pity you didn't do more research about charging and voltage (and use a power meter) before doing these tests. Unfortunately that's a subject most youtubers know very little about.
I'll give a couple of pieces of information (sorry if my English is not always perfect, it's not my native language).
You have basically 3 possibilities in terms of voltage for USB charging:
- 5v (with amperage going up to 2, 4A that is 12watt (wattage is volts*amps) on USB A and 3A on USB C, up to 15A)
- Quick charge (up to 3.0): which can use 9v or 12v (up to 18watts total). Can work on both A and C.
- Power delivery: which only works on C, which can go up to 20v and 5a for a total of 100watts (depending on the charger)
All QC / PD chargers will also do 5v. But QC and PD are not equivalent, so if a device can take 12v in QC it may not take 12v in PD, if PD is not enabled (or viceversa).
Each charger should specify in tiny characters the output (volts and amps)
I don't have the surface go but I have several USB C laptops. My understanding is that the GO has power delivery but not Quick charge (that is quick charge chargers will only work at 5v). The question is, will it take 5 volts? and if so with how many amps at least? From your videos it would seem it can but it's not clear...
If you don't want to buy a small USB C power meter you could at least install batterybar with will tell you exactly how many watts are going in or out (that is how much it's charging or discharging). A "weak" charger may slow down discharging (that is it may reduce the discharge rate).

I noticed the iPad Charger you have is 12W, and the one I was (unsuccessfully) using was only 10W. As a have a few extras, I poked around and found a 12W one .. and it charges my Surface Go perfectly!

I kept it plugged in to charge but battery keeps showing 50% can't seen to charge it to 100% and it was plugged in for awhile. I even used the original charging cord

wait so the usb-c allows to transfer data from a phone to the surface go or how does that works, and does that mean that you can no longer utilize a flash drive to the surface go

I successfully used my XIAOMI 45W Charger with UEB-C port to charge my Surface Go very fast, from 10% to 99% for ~1 hour!

hey man i really like the videos im looking if this device is something for me. i do some drawing stuff in medibang pro and photoshop. i use discord alot and i will mainly be watching youtube and netflix. i also used my tab s2 for school for word and powerpoint would you recommend it to upgrade to the surface go ? atm i use a 2 year old samsung galaxy tab s2
