Choun no Kon - Matayoshi Kobudo

Throughout the 20th century Choun-no-Kon changed its appearance. Like in all martial arts, forms change with each practitioner and with each generation.

Here is a demonstration of three ‘historical representations’ of the kata Choun-no-Kon from three different periods in the 20th century.

Note: No one alive can know exactly how Shinko’s Bo-jutsu techniques looked, however, based on Shinpo’s recollections, this is a suggestion and an approximation of what we know.
