A battle as old as ancient rivalry that’s shakes the hobby...

I definitely agree with the points you made in each category, but no matter what the Bearded Dragon wins me over every time.

It depends what you’re looking for. Easier? Leopard gecko. More interactive? Bearded dragon. Leos are cute and definitely handleable, but they don’t bond with you like a beardie.

I literally laughed out loud with Dr. Feksnek

I thought you actually had an identical twin brother for a second

I feel like despite all the points that the Leo's got, I'm sold on the beardie. It's much more expensive but full of personality and you can bond much more with them. Super excited to be able to buy my first lizard!

Really helpful and informative! My 10-year old son and I are trying to decide which to get and this helped so much. Thanks!

...hmmm...I wonder how this would've turned out if you had of clumped all the stuff into one category (because leopard geckos are hands down easier to care for), and then compared them. I kind of think and feel that the bearded dragon would win. Great video as always - loved your expert doctor 😂

Honestly I think both animals are awesome! I had both of them when I was a lot younger. They’re both awesome animals in their own rights, but I think you did a great job breaking them down for those that are trying to get the best one for a budget.

Thanks for the info because I’m going to look for reptiles this weekend so this was helpful since I can’t get a snake because my mom doesn’t want me feeding snakes mice

I have one of each and I agree, my Leopard Gecko, Blossom, is much easier than my boy Buddy.

*A cool video to do could be talking about difference/preference of genders of different types or reptiles? Like if one has more attitude or are more chilled out.*

I agree with leopard geckos being the easier of the two. I'm glad my first reptile was a leopard gecko. I now have a "little" bearded dragon (168 grams, 13 inches at 3.5 months) and he is so much fun to hang out with. I love them both.

I've had my leopards learn when it's feeding time by snapping my fingers three times rhythmically. Once I start, they all immediately spring up and come running to eat. My newest set of hatchlings are starting to pick it up as well. it's the most amazing thing to watch them process what was once an odd sound that either startled them or broke their focus to then be a sound they get excited for. Also I'll challenge them by having them chase their prey down on the floor in my room or with tongs in their enclosure. One of my females learned she can cut the chase short with a quick sudden lunge forward which covers a decent distance. Others would jump up and snatch it from the tongs is my hand which sometimes results in them trying to take my hand with them. On occasion I'll have to move them around or not snap at all because they'll get frenzied and all close in at once. When that happens, one will grab the prey before another and that would get upset and bite at the one who grabbed but so far no one gets seriously hurt but the biters aren't rewarded. Feeding aside I'll watch them just lounge around but not sleep, dig up their substrate and terraform their enclosure, make small interactions with each other touching snouts against another, tail wagging when a male gets happy with one of his girls. The list goes on, I Love my guys.

My boyfriend and I have been doing research on leopard geckos for months and I think we’ve almost got the whole enclosure done 🙏🏼

I originally had my leopard gecko in a 40 gallon tank, she rarely came out from her hide, was eatting but didn’t really seem to have the best time. My brother in law found a 20 gallon front opening terrarium and I moved her there, personally I think it made her very happy as I’ll now see her exploring once in a while, I’ve got both and though I’d rather my beardie I always look forward to seeing my leo coming out at night
