Most people aren’t willing to provide an adult beardie with the full size enclosure they need, which is 120 gallons at a minimum. They also require more care than a leopard gecko, and tend to have more issues regarding care (feeding requirements, veterinary care) and can be very unforgiving for a beginner. A leopard gecko, on the other hand, requires a 20 gallon enclosure to be happy, and is an insectivore. They are FAR more forgiving than beardies. Is why I recommend leopard geckos over bearded dragons for the beginner reptile keeper.

I want both but for starters I think I may go with a Gecko and the maybe add a beardie to my household later but my main question is should I get one from the pet store first like a generic one? Because I've been looking at more rare types online and become obsessed with the Super Snow Het Eclipse is there a more complicated aspect to getting different types or roughly the same experience / workload care wise?

Had a golden gecko and some toads but it died so I'm considering a bearded dragon.

Another drawback with leopard geckos is that they do best alone. Which means you can't dump any toads that you caught into the gecko's enclosure.

I own leopard geckos and yes they don't mind being handled just like bearded dragons 💀💀 I'm leaving a dislike, do your research before making a video
and ⚰️ bearded dragons need more care than leopard geckos
such as uvb
UVB is optional on Leopard geckos but highly recommend tho, in bearded dragons they aren't optional at all
