As a EE, I was always surprised to hear about people hooking their grounding mats to the electrical outlets. Maybe it’s better than nothing, but there’s no way it’s as good as a true earth ground!
One thing I wonder is whether you could put a inductive choke (ferrite bead) on the wire from the mat to the outlet. I would think that would significantly knock down the high-frequency “noise” your guest talked about.

I remember I went to a picnic and sat in a lawn chair for several hours and noticed next day the information in my body was less. There’s nothing more that I want to believe about the grounding sheets and I still did not return them as for some reason any of those grounding products I try inflame me so much more. What am I doing wrong !

I'm surprised your electrical expert didn't have anything to say about the hazards of grounding. You're chance of a fatal electrocution go up significantly when you're grounded. Any type of homemade grounding system probably has no built in resistance that might lessen this. Just ask an electrician working on live mains power if he prefers to do it barefoot or with rubber soles.

I drilled a hole through my floor beneath my desk and drove a copper rod into the ground through a copper plate on the floor. I sit at my desk and work with bare feet resting on this plate. I AM grounded! My question is, will the ground rod from my home power source at the meter base interfere with me at over 20 feet away???

You don’t need to switch the electric plug on, it works without therefore the electricity can’t affect you

This is such a big joke am Jamaican and walking bare feet has been done by our ancestors in Africa and handed down to us for hundreds of years. You want to see healing? Walk barefoot on the ground after a THUNDERSTORM. The problem is the West is a concrete jungle so we are always sick. The person who invented shoes did mankind no favor. Grounding is Old and the people of years gone by should get credit for it ( like the Africans) along with so many others this that was called “ uncivilized “ and all that civilization has done is destroy the earth and make us all sick. Grounding IS NOT NEW give credit to the real people who started and lived by it. maybe it’s new for the West but the oldest thing for us. Walking barefoot on toxic cement does not count either. Thanks
