This time Burgundy cant steal your protagonist status (or thunder) when you play as them that's quite smart. I think you can remember the Montferrat playthrough well enough. 😉

Forming Lotharingia is funnier than dissolving the HRE in my humble opinion, but you decide what you wanna do.

My campaigns never go as planned when Burgundy is involved.

In my own Burgundy campaign, I randomly got a personal union with Castile quite early and what I wanted to be HRE-focused game turned into a colonial campaign. And I never even became the Emperor because I earned too much AE with the HRE when conquering provinces required for Lotharingia.

Now I play a Savoy campaign, where I wanted to form Sardinia-Piedmont and Italy and make the HRE actually Roman, but I became the Emperor and inherited Burgundy really early on (both the Habsburg Emperor and Charles of Burgundy died pretty young) and even got faceting in Antwerp immediately after that. I got involved in a couple of wars against France and now I own this huge strip of land from the Lowlands to Tunis, with almost no possessions in Italy whatsoever 😅 (except for Piedmont, Liguria (Genoa) and Sardinia). And it's not even tech 10 yet, so I'm still just Savoy.

Anyone wanting to play as burgundy, there's a little cheeky move you can make. Seize Rethélois from Nevers, release Champagne as a vassal. Then you have easy reconquest cb against france.

Then you can cheese the burgundian succession to inherit all subjects for free. This consists in (best-case scenario) abdicating with Charles while you don't have a truce with France. Then choose to be under a PU with them. You should be able to declare independence immediately.

Burgundy is easily one of my favorites. But I never transition to France. I keep things real with Lotharingia then convert the save over to vic2 like a chad

Opening move is definitely grant strong dutchies, seize rethelios from nevers, and release champagne. Cuts down AE by so much and makes the king of the Franks a more viable option really early on

I want to know if there is an event that would give the country precisely Prussian militarization of the maximum level? If, before you form Lotharingia, you fulfil certain conditions, you can form the Netherlands (after having clicked the loth. mission, but before clicking the event) in the meantime and get a rest. of Union CB on England.

The prerequisites are:
-60% control over the English channel
-30 light ships
-15 provinces owned by you or non-tributary subjects in the low countries region
-At least 4 in Flanders or South Brabant
-Antwerpen is a requirement
-All provinces in the Frisia area
-At least 5 in Holland or North Brabant
-Army at 100% of the force limit
-Navy at 110% of ENG/GB
-At least as much dev as ENG/GB
-At least 30 spy netw in ENG/GBR
