I like the logic behind the texturing. I see minecrafters fully randomize the blocks and that's cool but it just doesn't 'click' for me. I like putting mossy blocks where there is contact with soil or plants or water. I like the cracked appearing in places where there might have been stress or damage and do on. Really appreciate the approach you demonstrated.

Yo Bdubs! You can farm rooted dirt: growing an azalea converts the block below it into the rooted dirt. I think cubfan made a nice manual setup in last season.

During the bit when talking about the idea of vertical space I was reminded of some of Studio Ghibli’s movies. Specifically I thought about the mining village from “Castle in the sky” or the rolling hills in “Kiki’s Delivery Service”. I think some of these iconic scenes from these movies would blend well with your style and could be a great source of how to compose a town / village.

Since the cactus farm is only going to be dropping one cactus at a time you're basically wasting 7 of the 8 smelts the charcoal does. It might be better just to use wooden planks :D They can smelt 1.5 items so would still be a lil' bit wasteful but a lot less than charcoal.

For powdered snow, leather boots keep you falling through it, leather horse armor does the same for horses. Its best to stick to where you can see snow layers as powdered snow cant form layers. Hope this helps on your adventures!

Some unexpected gratitude I have with this series is, with watching Hermitcraft, I find myself feeling like I need to rush. But with this, I'm reminded that I can slow down and just enjoy the game more thoroughly.

Bdubs, as the series progresses, I think a minimap would be okay to implement, so you can show where you plan to explore and to get a real feel of the distances. You could do this with maps too, but they are more difficult to look at and are more laggy

There was something that was bothering me about the town square, and I finally realized what it is. There's a significant lack of grass, as if there's tons of activity in the area, yet there's nothing there, really. I'm sure it's already being planned, but that area could really benefit from some carts and maybe some stalls. Something to show that people are regularly coming to and from that area often enough for the grass to be trampled like that. Also, some low walls around the yards of the houses would help the space between them feel less empty, I feel.

I’m very sorry for the villager who is still trying to jump from the roof. Maybe, you will give him a working station and trade with him, so he doesn’t suffer from depression and feels useful
