Why you should or shouldn't do Multi-Cloud (AWS vs Azure vs GCP)

why you shouldn't do multi cloud
There are plenty of fish in the sea
There are also plenty of clouds in the sky
Just because one cloud is bigger than another doesn't mean it is better - cough AWS-

These cloud providers are competing against each other
⦁ This means that they will usually not work with each other to provide integration with each others' services
⦁ Therefore when you are using like 5 cloud providers it might prove difficult trying to tie them all together into a working product

You might be saying that you one cloud provider doesn't provide all the utility that you might need
⦁ My answer to that is to make your own utility
⦁ Most of the services these cloud providers have is mostly just copies of each other

Bottomline: it adds too much complexity
While there are services like terraform that allow you to use multiple clouds, that ties you down to terraform
If the whole goal is to not be tied down to one company than being tied down to terraform breaks that goal

Most companies are doing it anyway with Iaas and Saas. Only Windows operating systems are going all Azure. AWS for Iaas, and Widows 365 or Google suites for Saas is a nice combo.
