The Dark Secrets of the Arbiter - Halo Lore Shorts

The Arbiter was a role of great shame within the Covenant, as we learn in Halo 2 with the story of Thel 'Vadam, however, the history of the Arbiter is actually very different, and a Dark Secret explains the Arbiter's fall, and how it served the role of the Hierarchs.

All that and more on today's Halo Lore Short! #Halo #HaloLore #HaloExplained #HaloShorts #Xbox #Gaming

Also the arbiter that we know and love used to command the fleet of particular justice before he became the arbiter. The fleet was one of the biggest covenant fleets and probably the second biggest fleet after the high charity defense fleet. If the arbiter learned what the great journey truly was before he became Arbiter it would've been massive trouble for the covenant because the second biggest fleet of the covenant just turned against them

I thought guilty spark-chan said something exactly like this like "don't you find it weird Everytime an incident comes up a strong warrior of great social standing just so happens to commit heresy" he said it real smug like to some random elite. From what I understood it seems like this is the elite the arbiter was sent after before he completely denied the great journey.

This is literally what 343 Guilty Spark told Arbiter to get him on Chief’s side in Halo 2.

Rip, while they were fighting a civil war, Atriox was making his rounds gathering supplies and mercenaries at his side...

I loved it in halo 3 co-op as the arbiter, every now then youd hear an enemy cry out "oh no its the arbiter" 😁😁😁

It would have been so good if the Covenant leader the Didacts hand, had a final Samuria like showdown against the arbiter. As you get to watch it in a cut scene.

Make the first level of Halo five instead of killing the hand, let him survive but have someone like his son. His only family remaining after his wife's death, thanks to ONI. Sacrifice himself keeping Lock distracted with holding Halsey hostage.

This would push the Didacts hand over the edge and challenge the arbiter as his city is being sieged. To one on one combat. Giving us an awesome cinematic to end the sanghelios arc in the campaign.

Another thing about the arbiter, the reason their armour is shit is because they are disposable.
It doesn't matter if they die since they are a heretic. They're basically going on suicide missions every time they are told to fight

Imagine this was already covered in halo 2

I thought the arbiter became the arbiter because he miss handled the events of halo one, and the ring exploded.. therefore, he brought great shame to the covenant, and was awarded arbiter

Come to think of it, heretics just in general tend to have a point (unless they get real violent about it), but everyone is too blind to see other wise.

They're the Arbiters, they legit commit war crimes until they die

Ah nostalgia back when Halo cared about it's story.

So basically what your saying is to fear an arbiter despite the reason for becoming one... sounds good to me

Plus this helps answer a question I never new, that being being if only elites were arbiters or if it were a title/name given to any covenant who deemed it
