1: clean out the dust and change thermal paste if it gets slow due to heating ( re-paste usually every 2-3 years, but depends on many circumstances)
2: de-bloat windows if you want to ( there's a windows debloater program in GitHub )
3: disable updates, change your network to metered connection so that it doesn't download things in the background as much
4: make sure there's at least 20-25% free space in the drive that has the OS.
5: Get rid of other antivirus software. The inbuilt Windows defender and some common sense is good enough.
6: If you have a separate drive other than the main OS drive (such as an SSD+HDD combination), put your study material, games and other things in the HDD. Don't clutter the SSD and only install things that you absolutely need the loading speed for.


6: If you're sure that there are good alternatives to the software you use, switch to linux or dualboot your PC. it performs much better. ( only if you're sure you don't have any software that you absolutely need windows for).

Mera 6 saal old laptop i6 6200u wala abhi bhi first day ki tarah smooth chal raha hai. Ye totally myth hai ki Windows laptops or desktops slow ho jaate hai. Kabhi nahi hote thatsit. I have 512 GB SSD 8 GB RAM Ryzen 5 4GB 1650 Graphic
No Startup Apps
I Clear all temp files every 15 days
I shut down n restart every alternate day
Software Update and all Background Apps are turned off
Not using any heavy games or softwares
SSD is only filled by 40%

Then why my PC feels very slow after just 1 year

My laptop's gaming performance dropped when I switched from Windows 10 to 11.
Earlier I could open a browser along with any game but now when I try to do the same, my screen freezes and I have to restart my laptop.

Android mein bhi startup k saath kai sare apps start ho jate hai.
Windows ko bhi 3rd party installed apps ko optimise krne ki koshish krni chahiye via OS.

Previously we install os
Then no new iso lauch.
Pc become slow
Today we get new iso every year.
So new fresh os is install for windows also and Mac linux also.
So new files does not tend to slow pc . But cache and other software TMP files need to delete.

I have a problem it comes new update at that time laptop is very slows down even I tarn off and on computer again later I update the os then I get normal speed and do work peace fully. After few weeks again I get os update that time my laptop slows down and again I need to keep up to date os update to work normal speed.
I reinstalled my os 6 months ago, I think while reinstalling os it got bugs and this didn't go away still now.i am planning to reinstall os again.
