Hi, I just downloaded Reaper and I'd like to start playing around with it, but I have ZERO experiance working with music software. I know so little that I don't even know what I don't know!

Is there a way to change tempo without streching midi item?
Setting item time base to time or beat only works with audio item to me.

I use to use Sony acid pro 7 until I bought reaper, now in Sony acid if my way or mp3 was at 90bpm and I dragged it into Sony acid it would automatically convert. ur telling me reaper can't? all I'm looking to do is drag my instrumental from FL studio into reaper and have it detect the bpm instead of it always keeping it at 120 bpm. it's hard to sync my delay effects when the d.a.w is saying 120bpm but ur project should be at 90bpm
