Stupid Things Car Guys Say to Each Other PART 2! You thought one video was enough for the stupid things us car guys say to each other? I wish it was, but unfortunately, we say a lot of stupid things. The video was originally 10 minutes and 1 second long, but I didn't want to be that scummy YouTuber who just does that for money. As per advice from some viewers, I've started to edit out random tangents to shorten the video and keep it on topic. I will keep anecdotes if they do pertain to the topic, however.
“That’s not a Mustang, it’s a Shelby!” or, “That’s not a Neon, it’s a SRT4.” Like Shut the heck up. A Shelby is still a Mustang, and a SRT4 is still a Neon. “You aren’t a real car guy if you play arcade racing games”. I despise people who say this. “Supercars are pointless when I can just build a car much cheaper that goes as fast”. The built vs. bought argument is perhaps an argument as old as time, and while I respect a well built tuner, I also never questioned the existential purpose of Supercars. Before tuning became as popular as it is today, Supercars were the only way for most normal civilians to get hold of near race car performance. “Don’t tell people how to mod their car. Just let them do what they want! It’s their car, not yours”. A lot of people who say this, say it with good intentions, and I’ll admit that I was once naïve enough to say this phrase in my past videos. However, I’ve since learned that protecting people from being offended isn’t as safe as protecting people from actual danger.
