Even if Rey was a Jedi, an ending where the Palpatines triumphed and the Skywalkers perished in a pathetic manner was not something I wanted to see. I didn't see Rey's choice to take the Skywalker name as a triumph over Palpatine but the ultimate triumph of Palpatine over the Skywalker line.
