How many stocks should you own in your portfolio? Well that's exactly what I'll be discussing in today's video! Diversification is a risk management strategy that mixes a wide variety of investments within a portfolio. But diversification doesn't always equate to a specific number of stocks in a portfolio. A diversified portfolio can include 10 stocks if they are all in different sectors, but if the stocks are all in the tech sector for example, then the portfolio would not be diversified. Diversification also depends on several factors like your age, investing time horizon, risk tolerance, and ability to research companies in depth. Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger also share their thoughts on diversification and how many stocks to own in your portfolio.

I just today learnt something about ETF's. Actually I today knew that there is something called EFT's. As i understood it is a safe investment. Can you please tell which EFT is best and how much we earn by investing in EFT's. thanks

Stock INMD  -- Splits on --company announced plans for a 2-for-1 stock split. The split will take
place on Sept. 30 and the stock will trade on a post-split basis on Oct. 1.   INMD 
only has  29.4 millions shares out.   Doubling to 58.8 million shares will actual make more attractive to  institutional  investors.   Now is the time to buy INMD.

I personally don't own single stocks yet but i do own one ETF "vgt" and it's good enough for me maybe some day i will add singles stocks and one or 2 ETF'S to my portofolio but for now VGT will do the job....

It's important to remember that Buffett has also said most people don't have the patience for investing. From my reading and personal experience, it's easy to become emotionally attached to stocks, but ETFs help reduce that bias.

I agree that "diversification is protection from ignorance" and I recognize that the future is unknowable. For these reasons I buy ETFs instead of stocks because my investments are at the mercy of unknown future conditions.

true you don't need a lot of stocks to be diversified but if I can only find 3 wonderful businesses to put my money into I would feel like I'm a failure I know people that put all their money into just one business they didn't diversified until after they got rich
