Succinct and clear. Been very useful, especially when I don't use continuous and forget all this.

thanks for the short and clear explanation. still thik face detect should only work in the selected area (like other camera brands do). not your fault of course :-)

Hi, I always use single point, I learned that 🙈. But since we have other options like wide and zone, there must be a reason to have those options. My question: when and why to use multiple AF points… TIA, greetzz from The Netherlands 📸

I have a question - so sometimes I have eye AF on and sometimes it will stop working while a face is unobstructed. When this happens, I'll see a grey box floating around the face, but it never confirms the eye and I end up having to focus with the joy stick. Do you know why that is?

I wish there was a way to combine Wide and Single Point - on my Canon camera, I can point my camera and it will guess where I want focus (Wide), and if it's wrong, I just tap a different spot (Single Point). There's gotta be a way to make that happen! I never fiddled around with a focus point and joystick for every single shot on my Canon camera.

Wide tracking needs some serious work in continuous. Box jumps off to another subject easily. Maybe you’ve reached the limits of the XTrans 4. But Sony and Nikon are doing it way better. Please give us an update soon. I love my XT4 but that’s one function that doesn’t work well.

They are overcomplicating everything...simple touchscreen focus (when you tap on the screen on the subject you need in focus) would be nice, but hey, does not seem to work in Auto Mode!
