What is FCM ? Push Notification or not? Because your definition says that it is. But, I receive notification only when my app is active. When I terminate the app from the app drawer, it stops receiving notification.

How does one implement custom push notifications? I wonder how it works since background services have 15mins gap especially receiving call notifications in the background like Telegram and WhatsApp.

Wrong info it’s not built in it’s that fcm library which maintains the websocket connection with google server which is enabling us to able to send notification and we can also create our own custom solution without using fcm, sns, onesignal or anything. But it gonna consume hell of a battery percentage that’s why google recommends to use fcm solution and all other services like one signal and sns also work with fcm not stand alone.
