Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought these recent tariffs (301) apply to all imports where the item matches the HTS code in the tariff list, regardless of whether they are from China or not. That is, despite the media saying that these tariffs are targeted at China, if an item is on the list, the tariffs is tacked on regardless of where it is imported from or its country of origin.
