When I had a bunch of tanks, that powered Safe was such a huge money saver! In an emergency ammonia spike situation you can use a pinch of it to immediately bring that down even before starting a water change, time can equal lives saved if you have a disaster unfolding.
If you only have one 20 gallon or even a 10, they have a liquid version called Prime for about 12 bucks for a bottle (on amazon) and that will last you a decent amount of time. Overall, one of the best dechlorinaters out there.

Hi again, As part of my simplify water change project, I'm lucky I have a sump pit to which I've been directing my hoses but I like the idea of the drilled PVC because it seems very secure and not likely to be accidentally tripped over! My questions is, I'm wondering how you store your hoses so they're convenient and still able to dry out? Thanks again, Ruth

Hi. Thanks for the informative video. I do have a quick question... when do you add the Safe conditioner to the tank? Do you add it before the new water goes in, while it is filling, or after the water change? I have worried that even a small exposure to the chlorine is stressful for my fish. Thank you for all these videos. Do you use any RODI water in your fishroom? I live in an area with a lot of mineral deposits in tap, though it is good with african cichlids, I do not find similar success with shrimps, fancy goldfish, and discus. I am curious if you have any experience with RODI in your basement fishroom.

I'm having trouble with getting enough suction from the system I built, after skimming through this video again, im wondering if its required to have a reducer where the hose connects to the faucet ? What's are your thoughts? I get suction when the hose is empty but as soon as I submerge it the hose starts filling up with water instead

How do you not cross contaminate tanks when water changing!? Do you use multiple siphons?
