Easy And Quick Way To Change Water In Fish Tank | Cheaper And Faster Than Python No Spill System

Fish tanks requires maintenance and water changes are needed more than you might expect. Using a submersible water pump, coupled with the correct hose, will speed up the process dramatically. Using this method eliminates the need for special adapters and you will be able to condition tap water before adding water back into your tank.

I’ve spent a lot of time and resources to come up with a combo that I believe will work for most new hobbyist and even some of those that are more experienced.

Awesome Ron! Will that Cipher from the other one fit on the end of the new hose so you can clean the poop out the gravel at the same time or do you have an under gravel This was great information because I have a 75gal that houses 7inch Oscars and 8 inch Dempseys that get pretty dirty in the gravel and we been using your old method for years. My 55gal community tank don’t get as dirty but this would be a great way to get that water out and back in of both. Please let me know if that fit so I don’t have to send anything back once I order it.
Thanks and welcome to the fish parenting family🤣.

I cannot thank you enough for this idea. I have two 80 gallon tanks and changing the water was really hard and tiring. I copied your idea and now the water pump does the job. Thanks <3

Great video i just got a 55 gallon aquarium after many years away from the hobby and so much has changed i almost went with the python or hyger and i think this pump is better and does not waste water. Great job thanks

Lazy and smart are two different things. Smart comes up with good ideas like you did.

Great video! I do something similar, but I've added an Alexa-compatible plug and named it "water." Now, I just say, "Alexa, turn on water" when I want the pump on and "Alexa, turn off water" when I want the pump off. Works great.

Your efficiency is showcased in this video too. You covered a lot of practical information & details in 10 minutes. I appreciate not being having to listen to bad jokes & superfluous, irrelevant blabber blabber like a lot of folks upload. Thanks man!

Good stuff. I was just shopping around for a water change system for my first tank, heard Python was good, checked price, uh huh.... Saw Hygger was a cheaper alternative of the same thing. Price was a little steep still for what is just a length of tubing and some plastic fittings. Watched comparison video on the two. Happened to scroll down in the comments and saw someone recommended this method. Then I found your video. Thank you! This method is much faster and comes in around the same price total as the Hygger version.

Great video. I have used the same temperature probes. They work well for a couple years, , but gradually they get worse. After about 2 years, mine were reading about 5 degrees off. Even with a battery change, they don't improve. But they are cheap and you can replace them inexpensively.

Got me an ATO/AWC. Little creative plumbing and I still have to vacuum to get rid of settled detritus, but man I can't recommend it enough to any fish keeper. No messing with water, no spilling and it never gets forgotten or put off. Rock solid stability!

Thank you for this video! I having such a hard time, my sink is pretty level with my tank so the python wouldnt create a strong enough suction to siphon the water, and I really didnt want to make a mess with buckets. This is perfect!!

I've been using this type of setup for years. It's great to not have to carry buckets AND...so many faucets are not compatible with Pythons...and it's too much of a hassle to change the faucets just to fit them. Listen to this man, y'all.

Hello Ron! Nice system! When I was into the hobby I use to drain my water into a bucket and never in my sink. I guess i’m a little of a germaphobe😂 I use to empty the fish water out into my yard over my plants. It’s the perfect plant food!
