we are nothing but a speck in the universe. its a shame we can't live together for the well-being of all.

What is mind blowing is that each of those tiny dots of light is a star, and the average distance between them is approximately four light years. Voyager 1 is travelling at 17.3 km/s. Even at that incredible speed, it would take Voyager 73, 000 years to reach Proxima Centauri, the closest star to our sun that is about 4 light years away. The scale and distances are beyond anything the human brain can comprehend.

Celebs need to see this to be reminded that stars are common.

This is way beyond anything that most of us can even begin to comprehend. The sheer size of the universe is unfathomable, it makes my brain hurt just thinking about it.

It’s such a mind-blown knowing that there are more stars in the cosmos than sand on Earth.

And that is just one galaxy. Unfathomable!

We are beyond insignificant. Appreciate this brief moment of sentience, and cherish our earth and universe.

The mind tends to just see the galaxy has a big cloud of gas, when actually that 'gas' is billions of individual stars. The definition of mind-blowing.

Think how special we are, and still we treat each other like garbage

When I was a kid, I thought a lot of that glow was just space dust spiraling around. This really put the size of the universe into perspective.

Imagine if you can live for a thousand years...and Imagine if you pick the closest or any dots of light in the sky, and ride a spaceship towards it as fast as possible..in hundreds of years, that dot of light you're heading to would STILL be the same size as when you first saw it when you left hundreds of years earlier..as if nothing has change, aka no progress....Meaning, the SPACE and distance is so mind boggling HUGE, WIDE and FAR, to say the least..WOW..

You know something? That exact spot that Hubble was looking at could possibly have an earth like planet with a space telescope looking out at our galaxy and imaging the same thing we imagine. It would truly be fascinating if their was, and to be honest I almost certainly believe that we have multiple planets that has life in the Milky Way alone. The more these astronomers and scientist understand the makeup of these exoplanets, and begin to figure out that there are planets with the same atmosphere as our own, then it's going to be a no brainer. Hell it could possibly be hundreds, or mabe thousands of planets that has life in our galaxy alone, if they ever find out for sure, then you know that there will be so much life out there that it would be the greatest finding in our history. I've believed since I was in grade school that there is life in other parts of the universe, I just don't think we are just special lifeforms, I think we have neighbors everywhere, we just maybe too far away from each other to ever find out.
