I think it's fitting that this movie was Peter Cullen's comeback, and he gets the first line in the movie. Forever memorialized in cinema history. A true voice actor's dream

Hearing Optimus Prime's voice speak on the big screen after 20 years was one of the few times in my life where something spoke directly to my "child self". I wasn't prepared for the way it made me feel, because it wasn't nostalgia. It wasn't a fond memory. It was like being connected, through a time machine, to a different version of myself that still believed in magic and had a strong grip on hope and wonder.

It's a testament to the honorable character Peter Cullen created, and an example of the profound, positive impact such shows can have on children. I may not have thought much of the franchise, but I loved it for reconnecting me to my youth in such a remarkable and unexpected way.

In 2007 i was in the middle of cooking dinner for my son… then i heard his voice…. I froze at the accuracy but tears started as i realized it was HIM!!! The original voice of Optimus turned me into a 5 year old in an instant!!!!

This right here ppl, is my childhood. I rmbr it like it was yesterday, optimus's voice, the space like ambience, and that heroic theme song of the autobots. It all brings me back to being that 5 year old me again

I was there for the TV show in the 80s. I was there in the cinema in 2007. Did I well up and cry happy tears? Yes. Yes I did. I still well up now. The first two of these movies were fantastic.

You know something that was always interesting to me about the opening of this film, seeing the cube's surface close up then zooming out revealing the cube itself floating in space, I thought that was a really cool detail that they added.
