The 2007 design is the best. So complex and beautiful. A work of art.

I love the Bayverse design, though it looks way different in G1 cartoon, but the design elements are still loyal to the G1 like the chest is transformed from the front of the truck and you can see the oil tanks, wheels attached on his body. Another thing is that, if you buy a toy like DA28, RA24, APS01U, you will love the design even more, the toys based on 2009 movie are like Optimus comes from the movie into the real life, the toy just looks so great in robot mode and vehicle mode.

2007 was good for when it came out, it was new and fresh and a different version of the character, but the 2018 and 2023 versions are more his classic iconic forms. Sleek timeless you can look and know what you’re looking at, G1 was the start and it makes me happy to see we’re bringing that back. That and as long as we get Peter Cullen as Optimus and Frank Welker as Megatron I’m happy.

2007 is convincingly realistic, and beautiful. The only thing I'd change is to make his feet and shoulders a little smaller, and put the grill on his abs. Out of all the official versions, it's by far the best.
Every attempt, including my own, to convert g1 to 3d just looks weird.

The Bayverse design is the best from an opinion but arguably an objective standpoint too. Not every live action transformer needs to be the spitting image of the G1 counterpart in order to work. I get that the past was golden, but when you still hold respect for the past but learn to let it go; it makes way for newer more amazing takes. Hence the 2007 designs

The original live action design looked the most realistic and actually looks like an alien life form.

I like the G1 design but it looks to cartoony for live action. Especially the 2018 one.

The new one is a reboot from the franchise and it’s a sequel to the bumblebee film and I don’t mind a reboot of the franchise at longs as it’s good and it is good
