A very long seat slider which can go past the 2 vertical profiles might solve this, I'm having the same issue btw, awesome setup man!

I made my roof out of PVC and have a upright I can remove. Also a adjustable seat back so I can easily jump in. This looks quite difficult to enter but whatever you can live with! 👍

I would suggest putting arms from the back 2 uprights of profile, that can extend when pushed up. Attach roof to those, so it basically pivots up

Imagine getting in and then strapping yourself and THEN you forget your gloves are on your bed 😂

Not any time soon, but in the somewhat future, I intend to build a flight sim rig, but mostly out of plywood and 2x4's. One thing I haven't fully planned for yet is getting in/out. I was considering putting one or both sides on a hinge mechanism and open it like a door. just not sure what would be the best way to latch it closed, and how to keep the four legged kids from getting their tails/paws caught in it...

Mine is tight but nothing like that. My old knees would never take that. Lol.

What angle do you have your monitors at?

How wide is that monitor setup from side to side?

I miss my roof 😢 need to put it back on I think, but yes makes it tricky to get in and out. Seems worth it though once your in there the rig looks awesome!
