I've been on the fence, read several different reviews. This video is terrific! You highlight all the features that any reasonable person will base their decision on! Thank you!!! As a music aficionado, for me, it's all about the sound quality and I think I'm leaning toward the Bose after seeing this. First I've heard about introducing white noise and I would have probably been wondering about it in times of dead silence (I listen to classical music sometimes with very quiet sections). But with my jazz it won't matter at all really. Great information all around. Bose also has a background in military hardware with engineering and making things rock solid which has been my experience with over-the-ear headphones and speakers.

Great personality and interspersing humor to keep it interesting and engaging!

Good video - thanks for sharing. I just picked up the QC yesterday. I've owned a pair of Apple Airpods Pro 2's for a week and within minutes of using the QCs, I packaged up my airpods to return. The fit is much better in my ears than the airpods, which then makes the ANC more significant. I'm also very impressed with the bass that the QCs offer - definitely better than the airpods.

Issues with Sony's are they are that kinda bulky earbuds and you really "feel" them in your ear. After a while your ears will hurt and get fatigued, These Bose QCE 2s are more like the Airpods Pro, light weight and they just sits there. This alone makes the Bose better if you are like me, using the earbuds for several hours a day.

Bruh, you gave the best "REAL" explanation of these 2 products I've listened too on youtube. It was completely relatable and although I'm still undecided between the 2, I'm no longer ignorant to the quality of their features. All the other videos had Bose QC2 in 3rd place and Sony XM4 in 1st but I do like base and I've always wanted a pair of Bose; Sony never had a strong enough base for my taste. But, then there's the battery life factor inclusive to the non-white noise quiet that I'm looking for and voice focus during phone conversations. I still don't know which one to buy but, I appreciate your sound & verbal explanations. Great job. Yo Yo!!! 👌😎♦

Wow. This was the most helpful vid in my choice. I’m autistic and a longtime user of the song xm4 over ear headphones, which truly have saved my life. However, I’m on the hunt for in-ears since I can cover them with my hair and seem more approachable when I’m out and about lol (need to wear them pretty much constantly).

You’re the only reviewer who mentioned that the bose has a slight hissing sound since it uses white noise to help cancel out sound. I think to the general public this feature is not that bothersome. However, because of my autism, this “hiss” that you’re talking about would bother me for sure as I’m extremely sensitive to white noise. Definitely gonna go with the sonys :) thanks again!

Good review man. I just got the Bose QCIIs. I really just wanted good nosie cancellation and sound for work. I own a detail shop. So air compressors, pressure washer, vacuums, polishers, the noises get to ya. I've been super happy. For the first time I carry earbuds with me. Home, drowns out the kids and what not. I'm sure there are more boutique brand earbuds that sound better, etc. But even at the price point, I think these have hit the mark for me better than all the others I've tried. And Bose has started firmware updates later will be fixing the multipoint and individual earbud use.

I use the Sonys every day outdoors working around machinery. I tried the Bose qc2 today and honestly prefer the Sonys for how I use them. The sony just naturally eliminates the outside noise due to the foam tips. The Bose really struggles drowning out the loud engine noise that I'm around all day. For use in an environment that Im not working in, the sound quality is slightly better on the Bose in my opinion...but not much. I feel like you can only get so good as far as sound quality with buds.

Thank you so much for your review and explaining that white
I have the QC 1 for several months now, and got the QC 2 yesterday to try it out. Bose did improve their ANC with gen 2. It is amazing that it keeps out more sound in comparison to gen 1. However i did indeed notice the white noise when ANC is on and i thought it might be a defect on the earbuds, because with QC 1 when ANC is on there is no white noise it's complete silent, but then again some sounds do breach the ANC which with QC 2 they can't. So in my opinion your theory about the white noise in ANC mode to contra the sound, sounds logical. You are the first reviewer to have mentioned this, and i am so glad you did, because i have asked many and they claim not to hear any white noises, making me think i have hearing problems 🤣.
QC 2 fit so comfortably better than QC 1, you can literally feel the weight differences.
Thanks again you're really funny also, makes the mood all lightened up and serious at the same time.
Keep up the great reviews
Have a good one!

The Bose are great. I have them here together with the Sennheiser momentum wireless 3 and It's hard to pick between those 2. The Bose is better for bassy club music/working out and the Sennheiser is better for critical listening. Sennheiser has the cleaner better sound but it's more neutral. With Bose you can really make a party in your head ;).

I think you've gotta try a Bose speaker. I absolutely love their speakers, and I definitely think you should try one. Maybe start with the Micro, Flex, or Revolve

Good video, thanks!! 👍 First time I hear something on the white noise in the QC2. This is definitely a solution to improve the ANC, but I believe this is also impacting the sound fidelity. So my choice will be the XM4 😉

I got both because both are great and it works very well depends on the scenes. Bose can handle good with low sound and Sony cut off the higher frequency better.

Just bought the Bose. I had de wf1000mx4. What a disappointment. They get a bit louder than Sony but Sony sounds better after eq. Sony sounds more natural more musical. Not so harsh. The Bose gets a lot of base but the highs are harsh hurts my hears. The Sony still gets nice bass but more pleasant sound.
Stop listening to these paid YouTubers that get these products for free.
The Sony has a smaller case, better battery, easier to remove and put in the case, multipoint, wireless charging, better eq, more options for third party tips, not to mention it’s much cheaper now. Also has LDAC. The Bose don’t support high resolution codecs.
Also the white noise on the Bose. The noise cancelling is the same on both.
Oh and after all that you can’t switch off the anc in the Bose, so if you go for a run, good luck with those gun shots in your ears when thumping harder on the pavement.

Great review as always man! I recently bought the QC buds and I gotta agree they sound great and ANC is the best. Only thing I wish they had its DSEE, which Sony claims upscales lossy audio and it works in my experience.

Hi, great video and I did like the part where you showed how they filter out the AC noise outside. I'm however reading/hearing on a lot of forums that the call quality when there is background noise (like wind, or for example on open office space with colleagues on the phone as well), that the SONY really does not do a good job. Any insights, experience on that front?

I just bought the qc2 yesterday everyone I spoke to using them complained that they were hearing too much wind/static noise, I heard them fine. The ANC got rid of all the noise my truck made maybe a little too well but would kinda go in and out, every bump I drove over the bump noise would resonate to the buds which was very irritating. I thought that maybe they were defective so I went and exchanged them only to realize that the new ones were the same, went back changed those for the Sony wf1000xm4 and I these work much better

Great review man, I bought the Sony WF-1000XM4 and they very and I mean VERY quite, like you put your hands on the earsbuds to avoid the sound form coming out...
