-- Today, I'm going to show you a pretty snazzy trick that will allow you to create highly illustrative and animated UI's without a lot of hassle. You don't need to be a great illustrator, UI designer or coder to pull this one off.

Let's get started!

For future reference; in real life parallax is a thing and it occurs because things in the distance appear to move more slowly than things that are closer to whatever frame of reference you're in, so if you want it to look like it "makes sense", use slower speeds on things in the background.

Is there any way to link the illustration instead of including the SVG code inside the HTML, still maintaining the ability to animate svg parts? I like very much this method but I would prefer to avoid to put all the code in the HTML. thanks in advance!

Gary, I have always been such a huge fan of your channel. I've learned so much over the years from you and really appreciate it. Thanks my friend. See you soon!

But when you combine this UI with some UX it turnes out nobody needs such a feature on a website. It's just a waste of lines of code and it's not so great-looking nowadays.

I used to appreciate your content but know, with all that titles, thumbnails and "awesome tricks", you seem to be living from getting sponsored rather than from creating something valuable to others. And that's sad.

Is there a way to efficiently create pixel art (like oversized pixels) in Illustrator and then apply parallax and all that goodness to it? I was thinking about the game The Last Night for a style. The beauty of that is the mix of 16 big graphics combined with modern effects like fog, blur, and lighting.

Love the tutorial but the title won't help people who are looking for a parallax tutorial. The title is too vague and a little misleading since I was expecting a bit more about the website as a whole. Again, good info, though.

0:32 You mean: You'll just try to get us to ignore that.

Now that I think about it, I really hate working with images, backgrounds, and icons. Aligning them, putting them on the page, making them responsive, fixing the small details, adding animations, and so on, bleeeeh.
