Too anyone who doesn’t have online, you can start a new game in a foreign language, catch ditto there, and use home to move it too your main save.

The other day I got a 6iv, adamant, foreign shiny ditto from surprise trade. I’m 100% sure it’s hacked but this is legit gonna be the only hacked pokemon I keep, as I only intend to use it for masuda method breeding 👍

FYI: make sure all your starter Pokemon are the same gender when you breed them all at once, otherwise there will be some full odds eggs in there!!!!

Currently trying to hatch a shiny Pichu with volt tackle. You can't transfer volt tackle like other egg moves since it requires a special condition, so breeding is the only way to get one. Thankfully the Masuda Method will make this much quicker

If you go to link trade. Set the code to 4448 4448 its a code commonly used to only trade foreign ditto. Chances are the ditto you can catch will be foreign to them too. Now you know

Yeah but if you take into account waiting for the eggs to be made youd be better off just hunting them by wondering around or doing outbreaks

Every single time I put the correct code in for a foren ditto trade nobody else is also doing the same trade. Sad times😔

Im close to full odds on this method. I have a Japanese charmander and an english one, and I've hached over 600, once im done with this lot of eggs, it will be over 680

Wow I thought most people knew this already (at least shiny hunters did) since it's been in the games for ages but apparently I was wrong, so it's cool that new players are learning this now. Masuda has been my go-to since gen 6. There are a lot of misconceptions in the comments... so by the way guys, having a shiny parent doesn't affect shiny odds. Also you don't have to use a foreign ditto- if you have two of the same Pokémon, one from your region and one from another, masuda method still works. I still don't have a foreign ditto in Pokémon violet and my first masuda shiny was a shiny shroodle on the 173rd egg from saving up Pokémon I got in surprise/wonder trade from different regions that I wanted to shiny hunt. Lastly, DON'T WASTE YOUR HERBA MYSTICA ON EGGS. Sparkling power has no effect on increasing the odds. Remember to be patient because it's still dependent on luck. You can get a shiny in 5 eggs or you can get a shiny in over 1000 but if you really want it don't give up, this is what being a shiny hunter means lol. It is a silly monster game but this hobby is ROUGH sometimes for what it is.

Supposed to be 1/683 or 1/518 (I believe) with shiny charm.

However it’s total bullshit cause between Feucoco and Quaxly im almost at 30, 000 eggs and haven’t gotten one. I did get Sprigatito at 173eggs but the other two I’m currently over 20x Odds

Will it work if the ditto is english but the other pokemon you're breeding is in another language?
