I admit that I don't always like to pass by such a powerful dog if I don't know the owner as a reliable person, but with that big head and those tiny little eyes, I couldn't resist cuddling him, he's one of the cutest things I've ever seen, looks like a teddy bear.

I found it odd that he was scheduled to be euthanized and it broke my heart. He had a microchip and his soulless family dumped him on the streets. You would think the shelter would have done everything possible to find him a home without even considering euthanasia. I just don't understand that. So glad this lady saved him.

To think how close beautiful Hendrix was to being put down, for no reason! Seems odd to call anywhere that kills healthy animals a "shelter'. Thank God she adopted him and saved his life, and gained a loyal companion furever!

This dog personifies what my boss at the rescue I volunteer at always says to me:

"If there is ever any creature that deserves an afterlife, it's our pets. A lot of them come into our world with so much love to give unconditionally. It'd be a disservice to us to not love them back. It's as if they know they have a shorter amount of time to be with us, so their world pretty much revolves around the person or persons they imprint upon as the ones deserving of their loyalty and love."

This video hits close to the heart! We fostered a pitty named Murphy 16 years ago under similar circumstances. We ended up adopting Murph because we fell in love with him. Murph and Hendrix would have passed physically as twins and have similar personalities. We lost Murph in 2/2022 @ 15 and even though he lived a long fruitful/happy life, the hole left behind by him not being here is still large.

What an amazing pair they make, so bonded they intuitively know what the other needs. She is perfect for him, as he is for her. At the end when she said he's so beautiful, and he just gazes so lovingly at her. He knows he's home. 💜
