I stopped doing the treatments many years ago. Maybe it’s cause we have short summers here who knows but my bees are healthy and less expensive for me to keep but I understand we all have to do as beekeepers. What we have to do. You a lot braver than me with that jacket not zipped all the way up. In Northwest Florida we hardly ever go completely broodless so I do multiple treatments.

We arent too far apart as im in central kentucky so we are usually 2 weeks behind or so from you guys.
I have a compact and it was money well spent .Great piece of beekeeping equipment.

Those big honkin Dewalt batteries do great with the vapes, but boy they are pricey. Always good to get out into the bee yard at the first of the year to see what’s what. Good luck in 2025.

Good timing on treatments. That OA vapor is some harsh stuff be VERY CAREFUL when using especially cleaning with water in pink cap. If you lose control of that cap you may get a face full of OA vapor and spray since it builds pressure. Dont ask me how i know.
