Can I just clarify, at 3:53, the slide you have up states that we borrow in the minor scale from the “parallel major” but the “relative Phrygian” and “relative Lydian”. I wouldn’t have thought we would be borrowing any chords from the “relative” modes as they are composed of the same notes as our original minor.. was this meant to be the parallel Lydian and parallel Phrygian?

Could you explain the structural function of each chord from 10:05 to 10:32? I'm trying to understand the functions of those chords in your composition. I'll put the chords and what I think their function is from a composition POV below:
1st phrase: Bm7 - F#m/A - Gadd9 - Em7
2nd phrase: Dmaj7 - C#5 - Gmaj7 - F#m

1st phrase: Bm7, F#m/A and Gadd9 are all a typical movement from I to VI, with bit of sense of tonic of prolongation. The final Em7 totally confuses though and I don't know what it's supposed to do.
2nd phrase: The Gmaj7 and F#m at the end are the typical VI-V cadence and then you loop changing the instrumentation. But I'm not sure what the Dmaj7 and the C#5 are supposed to be in the phrase exactly...

I have been trying to change things and try chords that make no sense for little arrangements, and they sound very well and give the nostalgic/magic vibe
