I didn't know this was coming out on Switch until I saw the launch trailer earlier today. One of my favourite games ever, so well written by the amazing Sam Lake at Remedy Games, and so atmospheric, I loved the story, characters and setting. Watching videos of Sam Lake talking about his inspirations for the game led me to start reading Stephen King's books, which has been an enduring pleasure ever since. I don't think I'll be purchasing this on Switch though. I have such fond memories of playing the game 12 years ago (my wife hiding behind the cushions watching me play!) that I think the game's best left as a fond memory rather than replaying it in 2022 as a port of an 'old' game.

By the way I had the special boxed edition of the game (which I still own) which had so much content, including a full walkthrough that's written like one of Alan Wake's novels! Genius!

Alan Wake is one of my favorite games and although it's really nice seeing it get ported to the Nintendo Switch, I'm glad to know about the issues.. probably gonna wait to pick this up because the backlog is just going wild lol

Alien: Isolation on Switch is amazing. It looks better then the PS4 version and runs great. Also an excellent horror game👌

After how the alien isolation port came out it goes to show that ports can be phoned in or tuned to perfection and they definitely phoned in this port.

I lost count of how many times I've played through Alan Wake. It's one of my fav games from the 360 era. I had no idea the remaster was coming to Switch, but it looks pretty rough. I'm currently playing Vampyr and this looks a lot like it - performance wise. Unless we get a physical, I'll probably skip this, but I still highly recommend it to anybody that hasn't played the original.
