I love how we're talking about tire sizes robbing us of 1 percent of torque and being told it's "insignificant" but are then told the difference between the O-ring and X-ring change is significant. If you're not noticing a 1 percent torque drop from your tire change, you're most definitely not going to notice the power "loss" between O-ring and X-ring chains. I defy anyone to to be able to tell the difference between two identical bikes different only by chain by driving (racing) it and not looking at it.

To be honest i also ride mountain and road bikes and noticed the front crankset (sproket) is much smoother on a bigger gear regardless of torque, im just talking about smoothness and feels less binding. U hit it on the nail.

Great information. I've watched a couple of your videos as it pertains to tires, gearing etc. And I have a KLX300. Same class of bike with similar "opportunities". If you have a way to identify your videos to include similar small bore mini ADV bikes that could gain you a bunch more traction (pun intended) on YouTube views. Maybe if you have a friend with a KLX do a two for one type overview. Or just say "this also applies to x, y, z". Anyway, great content and ride safe forever.
