Today I'm showing you how to make loukoumades, a greek delicacy like fluffy little doughnuts 😋.

0:00 - Intro
0:22 - Weigh the flour and add other dry ingredients
2:33 - Add the oil, warm water and vanilla
4:13 - Mix well into an elastic batter
5:25 - Cover and leave to rest for one hour
6:00 - Transfer into a plastic bottle
8:41 - Squeeze and cut into the frying oil in batches
11:15 - Mix the syrup and allow to cool
12:45 - Fry the whole lot to make them extra crispy
14:10 - Drain and dip in the syrup

Just seen this recipe now! I always make Luqaimat, but your idea of the bottle is so creative!👏 It's hassle free and so convenient! I will definitely try it.
Also, I always use saffron for flavour, next time I'll try with vanilla pod, it will give it a "French Julianian" note!😊

I have always feared trying to make loukoumades. Your recipe and method are so easy to understand, I will try it this week. Only one question, I do not have date syrup, could I substitute it with carob syrup?
