There's some truth to this from a chemistry stand point. Increased ph opens the cuticle. It's great to detox and condition but shouldn't be done but every six weeks. Then the hair needs to be returned to its regular ph which is 4pts lower. Shampoo after with normalizing shampoo helps. Rinsing very well also. Replenish the hair with botanical oils while the cuticle is open will give you amazing results. This is why cosmetology, trichology and basic chemistry is important for a professional.

So would rinsing it out and making a very weak solution be better? 😅 I’m guilty of over use thankfully my hair is built to endure natural disasters-but I did notice some drying.

You can use this in your laundry. For hair I used vinegar. Or you can use it to clean your hair tools.

You just have to know how to use baking soda. It is excellent for removing build up. I was my hair with baking soda and neutralise with lemon then follow up with regular moisturising process and absolutely no drying. Baking soda is being used from ancient days by Caribbean ppl.

I’ve used 1/8 tsp of baking soda in a diy recipe and my hair liked it. But since my hair fell out with a different diy recipe, I decided not to take anymore risks and enjoy my hair the way it is.

if you want a clean healthy body and hair just wash it with ice cold water stop using anything on it that it doesn't need!
