A 30min somatic yoga practice that brings movement into the lower back, gentle activation through the core muscles for stability and releasing through the psoas and hamstrings to find greater ease in the hips and lower back area.

Somatic yoga is a combination of the lineage of somatics and yoga. Somatic movement aim to retrain habitual patterns of tension held in the body that have become ingrained in your nervous system. Gentle movement sequences support you to deepen the connection between the brain and body, settle the nervous system, opening up the space to allow for release of tension and creating new movement possibilities. Thank you Paula. It’s interesting that you are introducing Feldenkrais (which I love) with yoga. I do feel that being mindful & paying attention to the smallest of movements have a great place in our day to day lives, be it gardening, cooking, sitting in front of the computer, texting a friend, or shopping. 😂❤🙏

Been avoiding doing yoga the last couple of days due to some severe muscle knotting in my low back. Due to the slow, gentle nature, I gave this routine a try, and for the first time in three days, I can finally feel some fluid circulation in my leg that's been borderline numb and useless. Not a permanent fix but I greatly appreciate the relief I did get. Appreciate you, Paula, thank you.

Thank you. I am currently drawn towards somatic yoga & welcomed your explanation, as I'm still learning about what it actually is. I am currently having a flare-up of PSOAS pain & really welcomed being on the ground. I love using a blanket on top of my mat. The banana style stretches really helped to open my ribcage, which helped as I do also experience costalchondritis at times. I really am grateful for your offering 🫴 & time 🙏
