My son and family just got back from Myrtle Beach and went to many restaurants there. He told me without a doubt, going to Paula Deens there was the best food he had ever eaten in his life. Not sure what that says about his mommas cooking but I’m glad he enjoyed it!

I make my pot roast very much like this. Once the roast is done, sometimes I'll add potatoes and carrots and thicken the gravy. It takes less than 10 minutes to cook the veggies in the pressure cooker.

I’m 68 years old and don’t have a pressure cooker/ instant pot. So I always seer mine with flour to make gravy and put into a crockpot. But Miss Paula is the expert.

We go to Pigeon Forge and Myrtle Beach locations EVERY vacation. Two years ago I convinced my sister who is a vegetarian and picky, to try it and I’d pay in case she didn’t like anything and she fell in love. So last week we all 12 went to Myrtle Beach and we asked everyone what their must have was this vacation and my sister screamed Paula Deen’s and everyone screamed yes!!!! So we went and over stuffed ourselves but so worth it! The pot roast is my son’s favorite! And none of us eat catfish UNLESS it’s your restaurant! Service and food is ALWAYS top notch! Wish all the food not ate wasn’t tossed in the trash BUT I get the family style!

We get this every single time we go to Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen. It is so good, I also make it at home. Paula, I would love to know what rice you use at the restaurant and if you prepare it any certain way. It is soooo delicious!!!!
