Thank you so much! I don't usually comment but I felt I had to for this, I had been trying to get the controller working for hours with steam, however with this video I got it working in less than 10 minutes with no problems, an absolute life saver! :)

for those unable to detect any controller go to settings > device options and check all controller support
click stop and start again

my pro controller shows up but every button I press makes the 4 lights in front go back and forth knightrider style and it never settles on 1 light. it doesn't work.

I got a strange problem. First of all, my controller appears on windows as Lic Pro Controller instead of only Pro controller and, when I launch DS4, it doesn't appear conected. Can anyone help me?

Help i don't have Bluetooth and its not getting detected by cable
Cable works with Xbox controller
Nintendo switch is off so it's not connected to it and i removed it from system

I have 2 different pro controllers, one is the typical pro controller and the other one isnt original. In windows unofficial one is called "Lic Pro Controller", this one doesnt work. Only original controllers will work
