Earths magnetic field is weakening, it is already down almost 25% since the Carrington event. That makes us more vulnerable even to moderate space weather, which now causes strong auroras that usually needed more severe solar storms to occur in the past.

Ive been saying this for years. We need to be careful about the power because of the solar storms and because our fields around the earth are weakening as well which makes our planet more vulnerable.
