Over the past few weeks, the James Webb Space Telescope has recorded several shocking discoveries, but this one just about takes the cake. This discovery has revealed information that might negatively affect our planet Earth. Recently, A team of astronomers devoted time to studying the Final Frontier with the help of the James Webb Telescope. They had pointed it toward Betelgeuse, one of the most luminous stars that grace the night sky. The James Webb Telescope picked up an odd signal which scientists interpreted immediately.

I was worried about what Betelgeuse was doing until Neil deGrasse Tyson made a comment. Now I know nothing is going to happen.

How long ago are we looking at this, betelgeuse could have already exploded.

For all we know Betelgeuse could have already gone nova we wouldn't see it until 450 years after it did.

Currently there is no "Betelgeuse supernova." There will be one in the future, whenever that is, but currently Betelgeuse is simply a star, dammit.

It's logical:
This is why the evolution of intelligent life phase is rare in the universe and life doesn't evolve further from microbe phase outside this vicinity of the milkyway.
You can observe black holes, supernova and similar phenomena occurring at billions of light years distance only.
If you think such stuff existed nearby, the life wouldn't have evolved into intelligent phase in this vicinity of milkyway. If we had to be the victims of a supernova, we wouldn't have evolved in those conditions nearby.
This is logical and one of the reasons, the intelligent life is rare in milkyway or elsewhere.

If the light from Betelgeuse going supernova has not reached us yet, any matter from the same would be thousands of years away.

What we see now happened centuries ago. We have no way to protect ourselves from any ill effect it may have produced ( if any ) . Just enjoy the show .

Just say Betelgeuse 3 times and it will go away.

I doubt if deGrassi had anything to do with the making of this video.

Betelgeuse is several hundred years from us. It may have happened already.

Less than four minutes, already two ads. Throw in the robot voice and fact that the ads j7st come in whenever and interrupt words, and this is literally worse than mainstream television.

but you have to be 50 light years away to be out of orbit but betelgeuse is like 500+ light years away

Betelgeuse is not a supernova as stated but a supergiant star.
