I just finished reading the 3 of the five dialogues of Plato and in reading what Socrates said at his trial in the Apology I was moved by this fact. He spoke of the immortality of the soul, following the will of the god, not gods, but “the god” and pursuing the highest good as our purpose in life. Truly amazing. Peter kreeft has a great video called Socrates vs the sophists where he calls Socrates a Saint. It seems Socrates truly may have been a saint. What an upright and moral man.
