Alternatively, you can find the time taken to reach the maximum height of the projectile and then multiply by 2 to give the entire time of travel for the ball for part a (as the parabola is symmetrical).

Can you use speed=distance/time when working horizontally?

for qb) instead of using the 1.6s in a suvat equation to work our s, cant you just use v=o beacuse when the ball hits the ground v is 0?

Why can we just use a=-9.8ms^-1 vertically for the time of flight? Surely it would only be negative until it reaches the max point and then is positive (ball goes towards the ground)
