Something people don’t seem to realize is that Baptiste charges crazy ult charge from lamp. The fact that you’re taking so much damage but can’t die means he can just infinitely pump healing into his team making it so he can get ult every fight almost. 10% or 20% doesn’t matter, if you’re 20% you’ll die, if you’re 10% you’ll die. But if you’re trying to save someone from a fuck up, that’s when immortality comes into play. So literally the bap change doesn’t do anything.


To put it simpler...
If your team is in a grav and you immortality them, 10% or 20% isn’t gonna matter if they break the lamp, you’re dead. But bap also charges like 10% ult with each shot because your entire team isn’t dying but needs healing and you’re getting max healing value.

But the part that annoys the players the most, is if the enemy rein charges in, he should die, but bap field saves him and lets him get away with it. The nerf isn’t gonna change that.


My idea for a nerf is simple... just reduce the cooldown of field to 25 and make it so it needs 2-3 seconds to charge after throwing before affecting the team. Like you throw it and it slowly rises from the ground for 2-3 seconds before it’s ready.
