"I don't know where it ends" should include "I don't know that it will not be good."

Mr Fareed, quick correction “WE, are NOT raging any wars against Russia!”
Russian terrorist state started an unprovoked war against Ukraine, we, the US are meeting the agreement signed in 1994 to protect Ukraine in exchange for its nuclear weapons removal.
Additionally, we are supporting Ukraine because we live in a world-linked economy and what happens in Ukraine affects everyone!
More importantly, we support Ukraine because this is the intersection where Autocracy is attacking democracy, and what happens in Ukraine will have an effect on all Democracies and Autocracies around the world!

If Russia stops fighting and leaves Ukraine, the war stops. If Ukraine stops fighting, there is no Ukraine!

It is that simple! Glory to Ukrainian Heroes!

"Woke Green Energy"? Where the hell has this guy been for the past 50 years? I worked on this stuff for 30 years. The biggest problem is the Science Deniers.

This guy is absolutely correct. Policy needs to be a Manhattan Project for renewable energy. Wind, solar, safer nuclear with storage. Get off fossil fuels asap.

I am having a lot of problems with paying my bills already but I will manage if it is what it takes. These months will be hard for us all. Let's tighten our belts and go on.

I wouldn't be surprised if in another two years that the gas goes up to 10 dollars a gallon. My mom never gives me a ride anywhere anymore. My point is it effects everyone not just people who work.

why would he blow up his own pipeline when he could just shut off the tap?

The assumption that the oil industry is going to agree, on any level, to help phase itself out is ridiculous. These are companies which are fully aware that their industry is an existential threat to mankind. They are capitalists, profits are their religion.

This is a great conversation and the way forward with the least pain for everyone. How refreshing to hear compromise.

Much of Friedman’s emphasis in recent years has revolved around economic relations. He’s been a strong supporter of “globalization”: the international  rules and policies allowing corporations to function with legal prerogatives that routinely trump labor rights, environmental protection and economic justice.

I thought that he was going to deliver something that we all weren't aware of. Dude, you are telling me what I already know.
