How To Repair Cracked Concrete Patio Slab

This video shows how I repaired a crack in a concrete slab in our patio. I used some Quikrete crack sealant from Home Depot to fill the cracks. I let it harden for a few days and then sanded it down with my Rigid multi-tool and some diamond grit sandpaper.

You did the best looking job of all the other concrete crack repair videos!

Incredibly help! Thanks; I know it was time consuming to photograph and show prices of all the items you used individually, but that is very helpful! (even with links!) Appreciate your time and effort to show others and me how to do this kind of project and how much we can expect to spend to get it done. Again thanks, also love the humor :-)

I've used this product on several 1/8 inch patio cracks. Product is slow in seeping down into cracks. Many voids discovered the next day. Color is too gray. Use Quickrete Mortar instead. Make sure to get bonding surface very wet. After application add more water on top and squeegee at 45 degree angles (cross-hatch), then go back and sand or power-wash excess from sides. For cracks larger than 1/4 inch wide - use Quickrete Concrete, or at least a blend of Concrete with Mortar. This will give you a better fill, and the color will be much closer.

Shocked it turned out looking ok. Haven’t seen anyone sand that stuff down before. My theory is that some dust from the adjacent concrete stuck to the crack filler and helped the color blend in. I’m going to give this a shot but start sanding earlier in hopes of more dust sticking to sealant.

Bought some of that Quikrete Sealant at Home Depot. Must of been on the shelf for AGES! Every 4" to 5" nozzle clogged up with a thickened worm of the product! Took me an hour to fill an 18" long crack (constantly un-plugging and shaking the JUNK!

Well done. Short and to the point. And love the commentary by the dog and cat. They look like rescues, oh, my favorite breed!!

Subscribed because of your snarky pets. Ok, also subbed because I've been looking for a quick video that will help me fix for my driveway cracks. Straight and to the point. :)

This stuff works great. Just make sure you fill deep cracks with something like foam cord so you are not wasting the product.
