Concrete Driveway Crack Repair - Concrete Crack Sealant

preview_player
Показать описание
To repair a crack in concrete you can use flexible caulking designed for concrete driveways or a concrete patch.

I am using Slab to fill a wide and deep crack. If your crack is deeper than 1/2 inch fill the void with a filler rope to support the caulk.

This video gets an A++++ in my opinion. First, you immediately start with the thing you want to tell us about, not a minute's worth of giving an overview like most other videos do. I already know the overview of cement and cracks, I just want to see how to fix the cracks. You also use a superior product in the video. I have tried multiple products, but never Slab. I tried it after watching your video and it is truly superior at matching concrete, looking natural, and being easy to work with. Thank you very, very much!!! Now, the next test for Slab is waiting over one, two, and three winters to see how it holds up.

Thank you for the information and getting straight to business instead of a 5 minute pitch at the beginning like most others do. Pay attention folks, this is how a real professional works.

Wow, all these years I've watched as the cracks in my drive grow bigger and bigger and bigger. This looks easiest enough for anyone to do. Thank

New subscriber, you won me over by not losing any time, being clear and to the point!
Edit: I love the idea of that filler rope!!! That could work with other projects too!
Thank you!

I thank you for a great video. The best part is you did not tell us when driveways became part of American houses and where concrete was invented and all that valuable information. Hats off to you!!

You touched on exactly what the source is of all of the negative reviews of the concrete caulk-like sealants - great video. People don't stick the nozzle all the way into the crack, they don't push it down, they don't smooth it with a spoon....then they leave the product a 1 star review. I just did this same thing but with my asphalt driveway. I used the rod backers, shoved them down as far as I could do with a putty knife, then only cut off the very end of the nozzle of the sealant. That way I could get the nozzle all the way down in the crack and inject a slim stream, filling every crevice. I did this along all of the cracks and didn't try and do everything in 1 shot. I just did 1 "lift", pushed it down with a small tool I have. Let it cure a few days, then came back and did the final lift. Some areas required a 3rd lift but they were few. The most important step is the first step - clean, rod backer, push down first application. Then everything else will work perfectly. It's amazon products like this exist. Years and years and year ago, the repair options were messy and odorous

I applied a self leveling sealant in the crack between my pools coping and a concrete slab. Comes in a resealable aluminum pouch and worked amazing. All you do is use silica sand in the joint, fill joint with sealant, allow gravity to self level then sprinkle silica sand over the joint. No need to touch the sealant after application. Look up Deck-o-Seal HS-1SL

New subscriber. Will try to do the repair myself, the way you explain it seem pretty simple. I bough a concrete crack seal already, but will try to find the one you are using. I have lots of cracks in my driveway and in my concrete patio. Thanks so much, God bless you!

Great instructional video. Where can I find a caulk gun with an attached caulk nozzle clipper and prodding tool similar to the one used in this video?

Awesome, very concise video. The only question i have is that if you use something like quickrete self levelling compound, would you still need to scrape off or just wait it to self level and dry off for 24 hours before topping it off again?
