The stars of Fallout - namely Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Kyle MacLachlan and Walton Goggins, alongside director Jonathan Nolan and Bethesda Game Studios’ very own Todd Howard - joins BBC Radio 1's film critic Ali Plumb to talk about turning the much-loved game franchise into a Prime Video series, touching on Easter eggs, baking the perfect tone “soufflé”, approaching NPC’s with a weapon outstretched, saying “jumper” instead of “sweater” and the fine art of sweating out of your eye sockets.

Matt Berry as the robot Mr Handy is the best casting ever!

I knew Ella Purnell and Goggins would be really good, but the Maximus interrogation scene was a fantastic flex from Aaron Moten and really commendable for Nolan to rely on his actors to offer more stagecraft

I was blown away by how well they managed to nail the tone of the games. All that was missing was having the soundtrack play through a pipboy a couple times.

Having binged the entire series, they were all really good. I knew Goggins would be, because.. I mean.. it's Goggins. But everyone was stellar.

We need an “okie dokie” update in one of the games to just have that as a dialogue option for everything

Ella has these really expressive eyes that work so well for Lucy's character and for portraying this kind of innocent and honest naiveté, I feel. My favourite moment on the down low was the scene with the ripper saw. The deep sigh, the look... "Okiedokie!" and :D

Ella Purnell really seems like someone who can play a live action Corpse Bride

Dear Hollywood, this is how you do promotion: You talk about the show/movie and its inner works!

I love how enthusiastic the actors and creators are about the project, the lore, the game and how hard they're all working to please not only the fans in general but specifically the fans of the game. So refreshing to see in this day and age.

Lucy is damn adorable, quirky and so naive. The negotiation scene was adorable.

"You've gotten more British in the last 10 minutes" - totally get that! One of my roommates in college was from Boston, and he had an accent, but it was never overly thick. But whenever his buddies from home came to visit, it sounded like we were suddenly in the middle of Good Will Hunting.

Amazing interview w/ these pairings. Glad to see the two young actors both get shine.

The Fallout TV series is freaking awesome. I was prepared to be disappointed before I started watching because most video game adaptations are terrible. But this show is beyond amazing. As a Fallout fan since the 90s, I have to say bravo. The acting, directing, writing, and all the audio-visual details are spot on. Great job!

2 discoveries for me were Aaron Moten (Maximus) and Dave Register (Chet).

Aron Aaron Moten acted the heck out of that part. Bravo!

I loved the attention to detail. Anyone else 'have a moment' when we see a rusted and half-buried Assaultron in episode 2?

She looks like she has an Alita: Battle Angel filter on but irl.

Ella was fantastic in the show, I was excited to know she was part of this after her performance as the Voice of Jinx in Arcane
Aaron Moten is new for me, and he definitely nailed it! The interrogation scene was enthralling, and he just seems so fun
Of course Goggins was amazing, just extremely charismatic and immense presence in every scene
And MacLachlan fit perfectly and I can't imagine anyone else playing the character
