The OG Overseer... with that hat... I'd follow him to the ends of the earth and back... if I was allowed outside anyways.

I mean... the first few seemed like good people. First man kept them inside due to it being unsafe. The second overseer kept morale up with the mantra about staying inside since it's home and the third overseer allowed for limited contact for science and trade. If the fourth overseer had continued the trend the vault would have become a stable system in the region.

Vault 101 was more normal than other vaults

The experiment of 101 was "What if an Overseer had absolute power backed by military might." Basically it was testing the effectiveness of military dictator's. The Overseer and all the guards had better accomodations, rations, and recreations than the main vault residents.

And amata continues to keep the vault closed like a sociopath as the new overseer

Apparently I missed A LOT of lore from Vault 101. I met Agnes and Charles in Megaton but never knew they came from the Vault

Loved that the “Terrors of the wasteland” included beta FO76.

As a 76 vet, terror is a kind word to describe the world that was.

What I've never understood about the vaults is how they disposed of the dead.

i wonder if there is still active vault tec locations. by that i mean i wonder if all these experiments are actually being broadcasted and sent to a vault tec headquarters. would like to see the next fallout game give some info on it

That story i will never forget. Absolutely incredible writing. I have played that game every year or two since i first played it over a decade ago. Something sbout the experience. Battle to get to the white house is always epic. And then inside the behemoth super mutant you fight in the rotunda is legendary to me. And knowong the fat boy launcher is on the fallen brotherhood soldier near the door makes it abit less dramatic

I like how the mentality went from if we go outside, we're gonna die to if we don't go outside we'll die. ( Thanks for all the likes everyone. Rock on! )

It's really interesting how despite basically every single Vault running as intended regardless of the outcome, Vault 101 is the abject failure. The Experiment was to test the long term effects of what would happen if multiple generations of residents could never leave. Vault 101 didn't even last long enough to meet the starting criteria of the experiment, failing after only 2 overseers. Even Vault 15 opened for the first time *after* 101 despite extreme overcrowding.

Not to do with the video, but I burnt my hand while trying to make pizza rolls
